The wooden Lutheran church built by Finns sits on the west slope of Juhala Hill in Buffalo, South Dakota. The church sits next to the Cave Hill Cemetery, final resting place of many of the areas Finnish settlers, homesteaders, and their family members. The church was built in 1929, just before the Great Depression.
